The District intends to award to Balfour Beatty

When does the actual bid for the Electrical work come out ??

This is a Lease LeaseBack project, once the contractor is selected the contractor will requests bids. There will be no actual electrical bid package directly presented by the district for this project. The general contractor should be selected on or near 10/28/2020.

Trying to clarify if tomorrows 9am meeting is for prime contractors only or are subcontractors required to attend. Our company is a low voltage audio video subcontractor. Is the purpose of the meeting to review contractor qualifications only? Also where can I find the subcontractors prequalification’s. I don’t think the 50M limit applies to us as well. Your guidance would be greatly appreciated. We did begin sign up process on quality bidders.

Tomorrows walk is for Primes Only…

How to subs traditionally get in to your larger projects? Do they have to be part of a prime bid package?

Yes a part of the prime package, once the prime is selected they will be posted on the district’s website. Subs will also be required to be pre-qualified by the district for their scope.

Section 3, Contractors Response, states the Contractor’s SOQ shall be no longer than fifty (50) pages, inclusive of résumés, forms, and pictures, and tabbed according to the numbering system reflected in section items 3.1 thru 3.18. Section 4 Cost Proposals is separate from Section 3 required outline of the SOQ response. a. Does the fifty (50) page limit include the response to Section 4 or may Section 4 forms be submitted as separate attachment(s) to 50 page SOQ response?

Electronic Response including section 3 and 4 is limited to 70 pages including all photos.

For SOQ responses to subsections of Section 3 that may require 11×17 fold out pages, will the fold out pages be counted as a single page or two (2) pages?

Electronic Response should have no folding pages, considered one page.

To further clarify page count, will addenda acknowledgement forms, section divider tabs and cover page also be included in the page count?

Yes.

Will joint venture contractors be allowed and if so, will both contractors be subject to the pre-qualification requirements?

The Contractors in a Joint Venture would both had to be at the mandatory walk or acknowledged at walk as a representative for both firms. But more important is the Joint Venture contractors would be required to provide experience as a team meeting all requirements noted within the RFQ/P which includes Financial Capability, Project Experience, Pre-qualifications and all other noted requirements within the RFQ/P. The scoring process without any of the noted would eliminate the Joint Venture team from participating. Both Contractor’s would be required to be Pre-Qualified prior to submittal of proposal. If Joint Venture meets all the required, the Joint Venture may participate.
