BID 608 Stadium Sitework ACHS

Bid Documents

Since we attended the mandatory pre-bid for Bid 605, which included all 3 school sites, is it required for us to attend the mandatory pre-bid for Bid 608, as well?

Please see Addendum #2 which changes job walk to NOT mandatory.

Could you please send me the list or the link of prequalified contractors. We are bidding as general contractor and need to find subcontractors.

Please see link at bottom of web page https://rfpou.oxnardunion.org/purchasing-warehousing/

Has the district found any subsurface drainage base system installers to be qualified to use on this project?

Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6, only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for contracts $1 million or more using or planning to use state bond funds. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be non-responsive and returned unopened to the bidder. Moreover, any bid listing subcontractors holding C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 licenses, if used, who have not been prequalified, shall be deemed nonresponsive and will not be considered.

Sheet C 5.2, original version, showed 24” pipe under the track (key note 20). Addendum #1 added a note that the contractor shall perform directional boring at that location. Addendum #2 deleted that boring note. Please confirm the responsibility of the contractor for any boring or other scope of work for the 24” pipe under the track. Sheet C 5.2, Addendum #1, had several notes added across the page. Addendum #2 deleted these notes. Please advise if the notes that were included on Addendum #1 are to be disregarded.

Please see addendum 4 that corrects those. Thank you.

Per Addendum No. 1, the contractor needs to supply a new scoreboard. Please provide a specification and model number for the scoreboard.

Please see addendum 3 posted online.  https://rfpou.oxnardunion.org/news/rfp/bid-608-stadium-sitework-achs/

Several subcontractors are asking for additional time to develop their bids for this project, especially in light of Nov. 11 being a holiday for most businesses. Would the District consider postponement of this bid, preferably to Wed., Nov. 20?
The Board of Trustees and District Administration feel it is in the District’s best interest to expedite this particular bid deadline and intends to award this bid on 11/13/19.  The District does not intent to postpone the bid due date.
Reference: Sheet C5.2, Notes re: sleeves for storm drain pipe Question: The notes in blocks and also the un-numbered note on the left side of this plan sheet state that new storm drain pipes at ‘track crossing locations’ and ‘under new track’ are to be installed with sleeves. Does the sleeving only need to be placed on those sections of pipe that are directly under the track lanes, or does the sleeving also need to be placed on the sections of pipe that run under the D zones and the corners of the field?

C5.2 clouded note delta 4 added by Addendum 4 is the only info on the Bid Documents. Beyond that they you will have to bid it as you see it.

If the SWPPP is prepared already, can I have a copy or can you confirm that the site will be a Risk Level 2?

There is note on sheet C1.0 inside a box that is titled: “ Contractor to include in their bid”. That note requires the contractor to prepare the SWPPP, prepare the SWPPP manual, file with the State Water Quality board, and pay the necessary fee. The SWPPP must be prepared by a certified QSD which will be attained by the contractor for the project. The Contractor also will be responsible for attaining a certified QSP to monitor the SWPPP during the construction and to file all of the necessary reports through the ‘SMARTS’ system with the State Water Quality Board. Attached is a snapshot of that note for reference.
