Can you please advise who I may contact regarding the job specifications?
The plans/specifications will be available by 4/10. Continue to check the website as they will be posted there.
Rest assured that we will maintain a minimum of six feet clearance between all bid walk participants.
What is the engineer’s estimate for this project?
CIHS $4,436,797
OHS $4,378,540
RMHS $4,331,368
Is there any DVBE requirements ?
Yes, DVBE is a requirement on this project.
Can you please confirm a subcontractor is qualified to bid this project ?
You can locate our pre-qualified contractors at https://rfpou.oxnardunion.org/purchasing-warehousing/ which is updated daily. See very bottom of page, large blue button.
Since separate bid bonds will be allowed, the bidders may have a line added to the bid bond form to write in the name of each project that the individual bonds will apply to.
OUHSD provides the “All Risk” and the Prime General Contractor is responsible for the deductible portion.
Yes, the District will award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder for each school site location.
OUHSD provides the “All Risk” and the Prime General Contractor is responsible for the deductible portion.
Update: Contractor to cover our portion of the $350,000 deductible which is $10,000.
Do we submit 3 separate bid forms or just one and 3 different bid bonds ?
You must submit only one (1) Bid Form, which includes all three school site locations, and a Bid Bond for each school site.
Since we are awarding on a per school basis, your prequalification limit only needs to cover each bid individually and not any combination. In other words, you should be able to bid all three projects as long as your bonding company allows.
Please clarify how you intend to award and the forms required.
The lowest responsive and responsible bidder, per school site, will be awarded the contract for that site. Only one Bid Form is required since all sites are listed on that form. A bond is required for each school site the contractor submits a bid on.
The work you are requesting a substitution for is actually part of the Beynon CMAS contract. It is included in the Bid Documents as Owner Furnished to be coordinated by the General Contractor.
Your request is technically “rejected” as it is not part of the work being Bid.
See Addendum 1 which will be posted this Friday afternoon for clarification.
None of the planting shown on L3.0 is in contract.
Inside Edge of the track.
Please submit a subcontractor list with each bid form. If you need to indicate specific subs for a certain site, then please do so by adding that information to the form. You can use the form over again and submit different information on each one if you need to.
They stay removed per Addendum 0.
No.
There was an initial email stating to check the website for updates. Addendum 1 was posted online and not sent via email.
As long as you specify which subcontractor is being used for each site, and it is clear to the District, that will suffice. Whether you do this on one Designation of Subcontractors List, or more than one, is up to you.
one of the Electricals we are bidding to sent me these attachments above to fill out or said were required on bid day – one being the AIA Document A305 form and the other is Section 1.06 from the Audio Visual spec section. Are these required by us to submit as a low voltage subcontractor, seems like overkill and we have never had to submit these before…??
Spec 27 41 16-11 1.06 says in part ”…….in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders, submit…….” The Instruction to Bidders does not address this. Bidders are to provide the documents required in the Instruction to Bidders.
