Is it important for the winner of this bid to be able to provide both local and timely support to the thermographic system with regards to servicing malfunctions and product warrantees?

Although the District expects support under the manufacturer warranty, and the District may require some support upon set up & installation of the units, the lowest responsive bid is the awarding criteria for this bid.

Is this bid going to be awarded based off of low price? If not, are you able to share your scoring system to determine the winner?

OUHSD plans to award to the responsive low bidder that meets or exceeds the product specifications.

Once submitted if we are not the winning bid, will that be returned and how long does it take to get it returned ?

Yes, cashier’s checks get returned after the board awards a contract (typically 30-60 days after bids are due).

When will we know the final bid decision by?

A decision will be made as quickly as possible after bids are received. Specifications will need to be reviewed so it is estimated that within 1 week a lowest responsive bidder will be determined by the District.

The District intends to award this bid on 8/12/2020.

We have multiple products with different price range, is there a price budget we need to focus on?

No budget has been determined. The District requests the specifications noted in the Bid Document are met or exceeded.

If we are not awarded the opportunity, does the Bid Bond get returned to us? If it does not get returned to us, what happens with the Bid Bond?

Yes, the bid bond does get returned after board award, typically within 30-60 days.
